The project aimed to create inclusive employment and self-employment opportunities by implementing a local partnership model in Kherson. Project “Community Voice in Local Self-Government”: As part of the “Decentralization brings better results and efficiency” (DOBRE) program, USAID (2017-2020). Work in 10 amalgamated territorial communities of Kherson Oblast was conducted in the following areas: local budgets, citizen participation in the budget process, and implementation of participatory budgeting mechanisms in communities; youth activation and participation through the introduction of youth councils and support for their activities, as well as training and support in implementing youth initiatives; leadership in communities through the formation of a circle of active citizens, expert support in creating CSOs, assessing the organizational capacity of local CSOs, and providing them with organizational development consultations. Project “Strengthening Civil Society in Local Communities”: National Endowment for Democracy (2017-2018). The project aimed to strengthen the institutional potential of CSOs and local initiative groups in Kherson, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk Oblasts for local community development. Target audience: local CSOs in 4 Oblasts. / 2017
Project “Strengthening the Capacity of Civil Society Institutions in Kherson and Mykolaiv Oblasts”: The European Union (2013-2015). This project aimed to develop the capacity of local CSOs to effectively influence administrative service reform. Target audience: ASCs (Administrative Service Centers), local CSOs. / 2013
Project “Public Councils – First Steps Towards Effective Cooperation»: U.S. Embassy in Ukraine (2011-2012). The project was designed to increase the capacity of activists from district public councils in Kherson and Mykolaiv Oblasts to effectively influence the development and implementation of state policy at the regional level. Target audience: members of public councils under the Kherson and Mykolaiv regional state administrations. / 2011
Project “Time to Make Decisions”: UNDP “Civil Society Development” Program (2010). This project aimed to enhance youth and NGO leaders’ civic participation and involve young people in decision-making processes by authorities at the level of district communities in Kherson Oblast. This was achieved by engaging young men and women in solving local social problems, implementing social mini-projects, and exchanging positive experiences.
